Mai Chau

Mai Chau is the most beautiful valley in the Northern mountain area of Vietnam. This is where the Thai ethnic minority group is located in Hoa Binh province. You can enjoy the unique opportunity of a home-stay in traditional Thai stilt-houses. By interacting closely with the local family you stay with and their very friendly neighbors you will gain an insight into their daily lives. The whole valley is filled with a green carpet of rice stretching in hand planted rows. You can even join the people working on the fields and learn how to raise a rice plant. Peaceful can be the perfect word for describing the atmosphere in Mai Chau. You will not have a feeling that you are traveler when coming there. Sitting in the house on the still, you can even smell the fragrance of rice from the field through the window.
